What a day!
I travelled up to Liverpool on the Friday evening so I could be ready nice and early for the event. It did take around 3 hours to drive up, but that really didn't bother me at all. It was worth it!
Saturday came and got to the venue around 8.45am, where I queued for about 45 minutes to get in. It went down really quickly so that was great.
I had my autograph booked it for 10.45 so I just went straight over and waited in the queue. I was quite nervous whilst I was waiting, but it wasn't because I knew I was meeting him, it was because I was handing over my Art to him, to see what he thought. That was gut wrenching for me. But the feeling passed and I was soon the next in line.
I went up to the desk where I handed my drawing over to the lady. She was lovely and couldn't quite believe that I had drawn it, which was lovely to hear. At first when my drawing was passed to him, I don't think he realised it was a drawing. So I said hi and asked him how he was doing. He said 'I'm great, I'm living life' lol. I then said this was a drawing and he said it was amazing and thanked me for drawing it. I then gave him a smaller copy to keep, which I wasn't planning in doing but I'm super glad I did! He compared the 2 and said how amazing it was, and thanked me again. To which I ended the conversation saying it was lovely to meet you. He replied 'You too!'
The conversation was quite brief, but that is what I expected because he did have so many people to get through. Overall I was super happy that he signed my drawing and better still, loved it! As for the rest of the day it was really good! I managed to meet Luke Evans, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and Charlie Hunnam! They were all so lovely and sweet.
Overall it was such a great experience, second time at Liverpool Comic Con and it was great. I am planning to go up again in April 2023, who knows who I will draw next!
